My Parents Were Awesome

November 1, 2009

A blog that celebrates how awesome and cool our parents were (and are) back in their day. These are a few I particularly loved. My Parents Were Awesome is awesome. In a way, it celebrates love stories and youth and appreciation and I love it, it makes me feel good inside. Wonderfully, enchantingly romantic. Love stories shared are my favorite, even if it is only a little piece.

KenandSusanMyParentsWereAwesome

Ken and Susan. Best.

bobandDianeMyPArentsWereAwesome

Bob and Diane, so sexy and summer. Gingham and Plaid!

DusanandMilkMyPArentsAreAwesome

Dusan and Milk, subtle and cute and passionate.

JoeandLoisandErik

Joe and Lois (and Erik), love the lawn portrait! (Does anyone know what kind of dog this is?)

JerryandDora

Jerry and Dora. My favorite. Love the expressions and how everything is perfectly exploding from the starburst in the backdrop. I think this most reminds me of now.

Today was the worst day of my life. And then all of a sudden it was a really great day… and then I remembered the earlier part. The little things in life and love really do add up to a lot.

Me + roomie + lots of amazingly short people + 30 film and television students @ whippersnapper = Two Hours Traffic Show

Arrived a little late, but just in time for the main event. Normally at this point in a show the lights would dim, but no, the film crew decided to light the room and stage with the equivalent of mid-afternoon sun. Awkward, but they did get some nice shots.

Two Hours Traffic was true to sound throughout the set. Super neat. The first half of their performance felt like watching the best impromptu camp song rock out ever. But then you remember that you aren’t allowed to sing along and so you sway your bum instead. Band good, most else bad, crayon wall murals; a little sad. If only we could all draw like him.

pardon the absence,
project overloaded-and-underpaid has almost ended

It’s a good thing that Christopher Columbus chose to discover the new world during the last week of the semester or else I could have been watching some good old fashioned rot-your-brains-out television instead of finishing those final projects.

These people are as self-aware sexy as I am lactose intolerant: hotties with cameras from LOOKBOOK
