I kill all of my plants, and most of my fish*

Shut up.

Apparently the Tillandsia Streptophylla grows without soil –  just sunlight.
Also, is grows curly or straight depending on the amount of water you give it.

At the moment I am fish sitting an extremely curious fighter fish on behalf of S&M. His name is Mr. Fish and he blows bubble blankets when he’s happy, and gives the evil eye when he is lonely.

FYI: “What about those bubbles …
That’s his ‘nest’. In the wild, Betta fish make these bubble nests and when a female comes along, there’s a tribal dance routine with a lot of flashing of his fins [blah blah spawn and fertilize]. Then, he will pick up the eggs in his mouth and place them in his bubble nest. [No more romance] Just as the black widow spider will turn on the male after relations, so will the male Betta turn on the female. The male fish will then care for the eggs until they hatch…after which he may choose to devour some of his young…” edited/condensed from ask the vet

*It’s not on purpose, mostly underfeeding the plant and over-feeding the fish.
