My secret to vintage shopping is to get out. Get out of the area, get out of town. Here in Toronto everyone is looking for what I am looking for, and everyone is charging triple for it. So, instead of making endless (and hardly fruitful) trips to Value Village/Overprices ‘vintage’ shops I haul my buns to Kitchener-Waterloo. I brought friends and a blue sports drink, and came back with an amazing load of jewelry and fur and cardigans and shoes and oh-my-goodness just you wait I will have show and tell soon but right now I am so excited I cannot even use punctuation anymore… (except my beloved ellipsis)
